Family Reunion

Sharing is Caring

Our family got together this past weekend in Tampa, FL for the marriage of one of our nephews. As usual it was good to see everyone and to reconnect as jobs, marriages, and life have us living in different places all over the country and with little time to keep up like we would like to. I give thanks that we have the financial resources to be able to come together for a nice vacation at a beautiful resort like we stayed at.

I also give thanks that the “new” generation of our family are thriving and enjoy each other’s company so much. Our kids have grown up together as we have been doing similar functions for thirty years now. With modern social media they manage to keep in touch and up to speed on each other’s lives so when we get back together they quickly reunite.

One of our daughters has not been a part of these reunions for the past 6 years, however, she seemed to fit right in without judgement or questioning and enjoyed herself very much. This was the highlight of the trip for me as I know she had some anxiety about the trip.

There is nothing like family. I have a handful of close friends I have known for much of my life and while we are close it is not the same thing as the family you are a part of.

Feel blessed and cherish these moments.
